The construction of a two-classroom block at Rwemikoma Model Primary School in Kazo District which was earmarked to benefit from the 42nd Tarehe Sita Anniversary projects nears its completion and will be handed over on 5th February 2023.
Prominent personalities like the Late General (Rtd) Elly Tumwine, General (Rtd) Joram Mugume, and Sam Rwakoojo are said to have gone through the school during their early stages of Primary Education.
Mr. Kashumbusha Benjamin who steers the Parents Teachers Association and the School Management Committee appreciated the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces and the Engineers Brigade in particular for executing such a project within a short time and he said it will go a long way towards accommodating the ever-increasing number of students in the school.
According to the site engineer Lt Julius Ninzeyimana, the construction of the classroom block that started on 20th December 2022 took into consideration all the necessary aspects of the building to ensure the quality and strength are not compromised.
The Headmistress of the school, Ms. Atuhaire Ken-Flavia appreciated the UPDF site engineers for their professionalism, and discipline, and for working closely with the School Management and the community residents during the construction of the classroom block.
