Newly passed out Military Police Personnel have today been implored to have their country at heart for the continuity of peace and stability, both in the country and beyond.
This was pronounced by the Deputy Commander Land Force (D/CLF) Maj Gen Francis Takirwa as he officiated at the pass-out of Level Three Regimental Police Course 57.
The pass out of about 271 Military Police troops, successfully happened at Masindi Training School, in Masindi district.
Maj Gen Takirwa congratulated them and said: ” You have successfully been trained by competent personnel. Therefore, use the acquired skills and knowledge to protect and love your country.”
He noted that continuous training correlates with perfection when confronting any emerging global threat like terrorism or cyber insecurity.
He further added that any person will always feel great in the protection of what they love since they know where they came from, where they are and finally where they ought to be.
Speaking at the same graduation, the Commandant Military Police Brig Gen William Bainomugisha commended the UPDF leadership for spearheading the professional agenda through training and improvement of troop welfare, among others.
He implored fresh trainees to often lead by example and give utmost respect to the ‘Red tops.’
To the graduates, the Commandant of the school congratulated them and called for the preservation of discipline and integrity, as some of the core values of the Pro-People Force, UPDF.
Trainees acquired fresh skills in VVIP protection, skills at arms, physical combat drills, self-defence, political education, radio communication, and financial literacy, among others.
Today’s pass-out was also attended by UPDF Senior and Junior Officers, Militants, Local and Religious leaders, among others
