The Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, met with a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.
The Czech delegation, led by the Director-General, Military and Industrial Co-operation, in the country’s Ministry of Defence – Radka Konderlova – also comprised Her Excellency Nicol Adamcová, the Czech Ambassador to Uganda, and Maj Gen Petr Čepelka, the Czech Air Force Commander.
The meeting focused on security and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Czech Republic, with both parties acknowledging the growing ties between the two nations.
Gen Kainerugaba was joined by Lt Gen Charles Okidi, Commander of the UPDF Air Force, and other senior Air Force officers.
This meeting follows another in May, where Gen Kainerugaba met with Ms Katerina Sequensova, Director-General for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Co-operation of the Czech Republic.
Mr Stephen Kaboyo, the Czech Republic’s Honorary Consul in Uganda, attended both meetings.
