There’s time for everything (Eccl 3:1_22), time for sowing and time for harvesting.
There was time for service and now is time for retirement. And now is time for our spouses to change the arm of time from the hours of service to early morning of retirement.
We made vows to our spouses, to support them in all seasons., Military spouses are the silent heroes who hold down the fort, our love can withstand the toughest of missions every deployment is a reminder of the strength of our love, distance meant so little because you mean so much to us.
Love is the anchor that keeps us grounded the storm of the Military life, behind the uniform, there’s a family standing, resilience is the armor of our hearts.
We want to thank our spouses for the gallant patriotic service they have rendered.
We want to thank the mighty UPDF for giving them opportunity to make a contribution in the peace missions of our country and our neighbors.
We know that they are retiring but we want to affirm that they are not tired.
We call upon the mighty UPDF, to further utilize them in fighting a social war of poverty as wealth creation ambassadors in wealth creation. Since they are now going to be fully free.
You are welcome home our spouses, start from where we are. Use what you have and do what u can. Home is not a place, it’s a feeling created by love. We are the glue that holds the Military community together., the journey of Military spouse is a statement of the power of love,
We therefore bless the lord for this long journey.
Once more I congratulate the service men who are retiring today and the UPDF.
Thank you for very much.
For God and my country.
