The Mayor of Rushere town council in Kiruhura district, King Martin Kyanyawanga has commended the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces for the discipline that has been instilled in the soldiers.

Mr. Kyanyawanga had to join the UPDF in cleaning the town council as part of the week-long activities to celebrate the 42nd Tarehe Sita Anniversary in Greater Mbarara. He thanked the UPDF, Uganda Police Force, and Uganda Prisons Service for the symbolic act of cleaning the town council.
The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces have during the week engaged in various symbolic activities that range from construction, medical treatment, sanitation, and vector control in the district.

The Mayor called upon the residents to unite as it is the only way through which they can develop their community and the country.
