Venerable Mwiine Mishaki Kihondwa, the Archdeacon of Nshwere Archdeaconry in North Ankole Diocese has praised the Quick Impact Project extended to Nshwere Primary School in Kiruhura District stating that it will significantly boost the performance of pupils in the school.
The eight-staff housing unit block, which includes a 2 stance pit latrine and two bathrooms is part of the quick impact projects that are being carried out by the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces during the week-long symbolic activities leading up to the 42nd Tarehe Sita Anniversary celebration that will be held on 6th February 2023 at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara District.
Ven. Kihondwa said that the facility will be of great value to the school since most of the teachers at the school were residing and commuting from distant places which greatly impacted the services they offer to the school.
The Archdeacon commended the engineers for the discipline they exhibited during their time at the school. “They have displayed a high level of discipline and as members of the UPDF, they have fully represented the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces as an institution,” said Ven. Kihondwa.
Lt Adinan Yasiri, the project’s site engineer, stated that the accommodation block, whose construction began on December 20, 2022, was built in accordance with the required specifications, ensuring that the building’s quality stands the test of time.
According to Major Sulait Issa Ssemakula, the UPDF- Air Force’s Director of Civil-Military Cooperation, the construction of the staff accommodation block will allow teachers to stay within the school and provide effective services to the children.
